As another critiquer has mentioned, the 'openness' of this photo helps make it interesting.
The subject is clearly defined, easy to spot, and interesting.
The lines in the fields that run almost parallel to the subject curve nicely and give the photograph aah-- more 3D look.
The blurred foreground grain makes this photograph more unique. I think it adds to the shot. It implies a sense of movement in time, and gives the viewer a feeling of standing there in the tranquil scene. If anything, there could be more of it!
The colors are calm and peaceful, the texture in the clouds subtle, and everything is well lit.
If you were looking for criticism... I don't have any ATM.
This is great, and had I stumbled on it passing this way I would be quite pleased to take it.
The open space is everything here. I like the hills, the sky the distant trees and the more distant mountains. The earth and sky tones.
Now about the 24 cases of wheat or grain. I want them to take up less space, and want them smaller or farther away. They too dominate the space.
And then there is the foreground, either blurred or too close for focus. It distracts me from the open space. The more I raised the bottom edge the better I liked it.
I love this work because of... well, the reasons mentioned in my feature, as well as another perspective. It represents to me, a dream within a dream... its the perfect embodiment of a utopia, for the lack of a better word.
